Wesley Fofana attacked Brendan Rodgers after completing his move to Chelsea, accusing the Leicester manager of attempting to “expose” him in recent weeks.
Fofana completed his long-awaited move to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, signing a seven-year contract worth around £70 million.
The Foxes rejected multiple bids from Chelsea before their demands were met, and the defender’s departure was not without controversy.
After expressing his desire to join Chelsea, Fofana was forced to train with Leicester’s Under-23 squad, with Rodgers declaring that he was “not in the right frame of mind” to play for Leicester.
“Harry, in terms of his behavior and his focus for the club, he was fantastic right until the last minute, then he moved on,” Rodgers said of Fofana’s attitude. It was unique.”
In a message to Leicester fans on Wednesday, Fofana slammed his former club’s “false and misleading comments.”
“During these two seasons here, I have probably experienced the most intense moments of my young football career,” he wrote on Instagram. I’ve grown as a player and as a man.
“Thank you, Foxes fans, for your kindness and unwavering support, even when you were led to believe I didn’t respect the club.”

“Despite all of the criticism and often false and misleading comments, even from the club, I chose not to communicate during this transfer window.” I comprehended and learned.
“I didn’t want to tarnish the institution’s reputation, so I chose to accept rather than respond.” I appreciate Top’s [chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha’s] patience.
“Thank you to the managers, to the coach who has always appreciated me, even if he has recently chosen to expose me a lot… Coach, I got it.
“There were ups and downs, but you can be certain that I never cheated.”
Fofana could make his Chelsea debut against West Ham on Saturday after Thomas Tuchel’s team lost 2-1 to Southampton last time out.
