- The English club has made official the dismissal of the Italian coach, who took over the reins of the ‘hornets’
Watford made official this Monday the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri, who had barely been in office for three months. The 3-0 loss at the hands of Norwich this weekend, which leaves the 19th team two points from safety, has been the straw that broke the patience of the ‘hornets’, who will be looking for who will be the third manager this season.
Ranieri arrived at the beginning of October to replace the Spanish Xisco Muñoz, the coach who promoted the promotion to the Premier the previous year. Under his command, Watford has only been able to add 7 points (2 wins and 1 draw) in 13 games, being a 2-5 against Everton and a 4-1 against Manchester United their highlights.
The departure of the Italian ends his fourth stage in English football, after having previously directed Chelsea, Leicester City -with whom he was champion- and Fulham.
