The agreement had been reached two weeks ago but the official status has been delayed until this Tuesday
Rodrigo Hernández (26 years old) has renewed his contract with Manchester City until June 2027 , as confirmed by the English team on Tuesday. The Spanish international midfielder, in this way, will accumulate eight seasons in the citizen team if he fulfills his new professional commitment, since he arrived at the Etihad in 2019 from Atlético de Madrid, after depositing his termination clause, valued at 70 million euros .
The agreement for the extension of the contract was reached a couple of weeks ago. Rodrigo had a contract in force for two more seasons , so the agreement announced on Tuesday extends the commitment to another three, leaving five years ahead for the player to continue developing his football under the command of Pep Guardiola.
