Ralf Rangnick is set to make his Old Trafford bow this weekend as Crystal Palace come to town in the Premier League.
The German watched on as Manchester United secured a 3-2 victory over Arsenal in midweek and he will be keen to continue the side’s momentum against Patrick Vieira’s men.
United still languish outside of the European spots in the Premier League, although victory this weekend could lift them up to 5th depending on results elsewhere.
Here’s how Rangnick’s first United starting lineup could look.
David de Gea (GK) – The Spaniard’s heroics this season have saved United on countless ocassions.
Diogo Dalot (RB) – Given the nod in midweek and made a big impact at right-back.
Victor Lindelof (CB) – The spotlight on both Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire has allowed the Swede to fly under the radar.
Harry Maguire (CB) – The England international has struggled this season and he’ll hope the arrival of a new manager will kickstart his campaign.
Alex Telles (LB) – His chances have been limited this term but he’ll hoping this is the start of a run in the team.
Scott McTominay (DM) – Should offer defensive solidity under Rangnick while also being capable of maintaining high energy levels.
Donny van de Beek (CM) – The Dutchman will hope there’s more opportunities for him in Manchester after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure.
Bruno Fernandes (CM) – The creative hub in this United side, capable of unlocking defences in the blink of an eye.
Jadon Sancho (RW) – Has looked more like his Borussia Dortmund self in recent weeks and Rangnick will hope for more consistency.
Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) – A few questions as to whether he’ll suit Rangnick’s high-octane style, but his goalscoring prowess cannot be overlooked.
Marcus Rashford (LW) – Such a threat on the left hand side with his ability to stretch defences.
