- The ‘Black Stars’ finished bottom of their group after losing to Comoros
The Ghana Football Federation has confirmed this Thursday the dismissal of its coach, Milovan Rajevac, after the surprise elimination of said national team in the African Cup. Ghana is already looking for a new coach, since it must face the last qualifying phase for the World Cup, which will take place in March.
Rajevac’s dismissal was expected after Ghana lost 3-2 to newcomers Comoros, with the Ghanaian team, one of the favorites, finishing bottom of their group.
On Wednesday the Minister of Sports met with the leadership of the Ghanaian Federation and agreed to the departure of Rajevac, 68 years old and who had only been at the head of the ‘Black Stars’ for 4 months in what was his second stage in office. This Thursday the Ghana Football Federation added that it will soon announce who its new coach is.
