Frank Lampard is already history at Everton. The Liverpool club’s board of directors announced on Monday night the decision to do without the English coach, who had placed the team in the penultimate position of the Premier league with only 15 points, two from salvation.
The horrendous streak of results that the ‘toffees’ are going through, with only two points added out of 24 possible, has led to the dismissal of Lampard. Everton has not won since last October, signing two draws in the last ten games including the FA Cup and League Cup.
The situation had become untenable and Lampard’s dismissal seemed inevitable after the defeat this weekend against West Ham.
The Englishman leaves the team after just one year in charge. He arrived on January 31, 2022, and achieved permanence on a penultimate day. This season, he has only achieved three victories, the team with the fewest in the Premier league.
