To keep the hype for this summer’s European Championship building, England have offered up a throwback to Italia 90 with a stunning retro blackout kit.
With memories of Paul Gascoigne dazzling on the pitch and World in Motion blaring in the background still living on in English culture, Italia 90 still holds a special place in the heart of many England fans, and the Three Lions are now giving fans a chance to relive those memories.
We saw England release a brilliant mash-up shirt to celebrate the tournament back in April, and now they’ve gone one step further by unveiling a beautiful blackout kit to mix history with modern culture and fashion.
Taking on the style of the polo shirt which made so many big names famous, this new kit brings an all-black look to the badge, collar and cuffs to create something which will definitely help fans get excited for the Euros this summer.
The blackout look has been specially chosen to represent the struggle and hard work put in at the 1990 World Cup by both players and fans of England.

The Three Lions roared their way to the semi-final, where they came unstuck against eventual winners West Germany in a penalty shootout which has gone down in England infamy. Bobby Robson’s men went on to lose the third-place play-off.
The blackout kit adds to a great Italia 90 retro collection which features Score Draw home, away and third shirts, as well as a training shirt and track jackets.
If you can’t pick between the three standard kits, there’s the glorious mash-up shirt which blends all three together in a way which absolutely should not work but actually comes together far better than you’d imagine.
For England, this summer will kick off with a meeting with Croatia on June 13, before group stage games with Scotland and the Czech Republic will help decide their fate.
All three of those matches will take place at Wembley Stadium, which will also host the last 16 tie for the winners of England’s group as well as both semi-finals and the final.
