Casemiro, a Brazilian midfielder, has completed his transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United.
Last Friday, the Red Devils agreed to a reported £70 million deal with Los Blancos to sign the 30-year-old.
And the defensive midfielder, who won five Champions League titles during his nine years at the Bernabeu, has agreed to a contract extension until 2026, with an option for another year.
Casemiro said of his departure from the LaLiga giants: “It was the most difficult decision I’ve ever made, but I’m excited about what lies ahead.
“I want to take on new challenges, and learn about a different league, country, and culture.
“I’m going to the biggest team in the world, one that can compete with Real Madrid’s greatness.”
Casemiro was introduced to the Old Trafford faithful before United’s 2-1 victory over archrivals Liverpool.
The following newcomers have been added: “The chance to embark on a new adventure at Manchester United and in the Premier League is extremely appealing.

“I’m finishing a beautiful journey in Madrid and beginning another in Manchester, as determined as ever to win football matches, and trophies, and make our fans proud by bringing success to this great club.
“Everyone is familiar with Manchester United’s history, the club’s global significance, and what it means to its fans.
“It is an honor to represent United, and I am willing to give everything to help the team achieve our goals.”
Ten Hag has been in desperate need of reinforcements, and his new South American acquisition is the club’s fourth summer signing, joining Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez.
According to the Dutchman: “He is the cement between the stones; we were looking for him all summer and finally found him.
“[I’m] very pleased with his decision.”
